The Gamma Phi Circus is proud to provide the Bloomington-Normal community with opportunities to teach it's youth about the joys and challenges of the circus. Youth camps are held on the campus of Illinois State University. Gamma Phi provides Basic and Advanced Circus Camps, as well as programs for younger children called CircusLings and CircusTots. This unique circus camps program is sponsored by the College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) at Illinois State University and is presented by the directors and performers of Gamma Phi Circus.
The rewards and pleasure of learning AND performing a wide variety of circus skills can be yours. Taught by professional circus performers and educators, the program includes:
Aerial | Juggling | Trapeze |
Balancing | Rolling globes | Tumbling |
Clowning | Tight-wire | Vaulting |
Cycling | Trampoline | & more... |
There are (2) one week Basic Camp sessions for performers of all levels, (1) one week Intermediate Camp session for campers ready for the next step in circus training (but not yet ready for Advanced), and (1) two week Advanced Camp session for performers with previous circus/acrobatic experience. Join us for one, two, or all sessions!
CircusTots and CircusLings camps are one week (M-F) in duration, with daily camp classes ranging from 75-90 minutes depending on age.
Camps do not have to be taken in consecutive order. We're making it easier for you to participate in all the summer activities!
