Volunteers are needed for the 2017 home shows, April 7 and 8 in Redbird Arena!
The link to sign up to volunteer
is now available and taking volunteer applications!
Volunteers will be directed to complete a form to volunteer. The deadline for volunteers to apply will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Apply early to volunteer as spaces tend to fill quickly. Volunteers are required to attend one of the mini-training sessions held on either Monday, March 27 or Thursday, March 30 (times/location to be announced) to be a circus roustabout with us during the Gamma Phi Circus Home Shows on Friday, April 7 and Saturday, April 8!
Volunteers provide assistance with apparel and light saber sales at merchandise tables on the Redbird Concourse before show starts and at intermission. Other volunteers "walkers" will walk the concourse, or Arena bowls (upper and lower) with light sabers. Volunteering is fast-paced, and fun-as our audiences are very excited about the show and our volunteers easily get "caught up" in the energy of show.
Gamma Phi Show Volunteers work for an entire performance which means typically for an evening show, volunteers would be working from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.. During matinees, volunteers work from 11 am until 3 pm. College students, Alumni, Faculty/Staff or community members can sign up to volunteer. If you require a record of service hours for your fraternity/sorority or for honors/coursework civic engagement, we will gladly provide that.
Perks of being a volunteer include: a free Gamma Phi Circus "Roustabout" keepsake t-shirt, a free ticket to enjoy a performance (on a date/time that you aren't volunteering), and the heartfelt gratitude of the entire circus troupe! So, if you don’t mind working alongside a bunch of clowns, come volunteer with us!
